Silver Rock employee Scott Ellison briefly explores the relationship between The Woodlands and Houston.

A recent video production for The Woodlands Township made me realize something: The Woodlands is also part of Harris County now, too. With the addition of Creekside Park, The Woodlands extends beyond Montgomery County’s southern border, which means our community also shares utilities and public safety resources with Harris County.

While residents have often thought of The Woodlands as “the bubble” and something very separate from Houston, it’s becoming increasingly clear that its borders are blurring. It’s an exciting time of growth for The Woodlands, and we should expect to feel more and more a part of the Greater Houston Area.
